We’re literally counting down the “TWO DAYS” before Mean Girls (the Broadway musical) starts performances at the VBC Concert Hall. It’s going to be so fetch! “Gretchen, stop trying to make “fetch” happen. It’s not going to happen!” – Regina George

Anyway, we thought it would be fun for all of us here at BTL to share with you a little bit of trivia from our high school days. “Grool. I meant to say cool but then I started to say great.” – Cady Heron

So, without further ado and in order of seniority:


Andrew Willmon

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Washington High School in Illinois; 1986
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
  3. What activities were you involved in? Drama Club, International Thespian Society, Speech Club
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? Theatre nerd

 


Pennie Wood

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Coronado High School in Arizona; 1974
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “You can’t have a happy ending in the middle of the story.”
  3. What activities were you involved in? Equestrian Club
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? No particular group. I was a floater and I had friends in all the different groups.

 


Enitza Gillespie

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? S. R. Butler High School in Huntsville; 1968
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “The best way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
  3. What activities were you involved in? Color Guard, Spanish Club, Band
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? Popular of course!

 


Wil Elrick

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Guntersville High School; 1993
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “Be strong when you are weak, be brave when you are scared, be humble when you are victorious, be bad-ass every day.”
  3. What activities were you involved in? Football, Track, Band, Chess, Debate, Math Team, History Team
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? Kinda like I am now. I knew a little bit of everyone from each of the groups.

 


David Herriott

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Grissom High School; 1972
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “Dance till you drop!”
  3. What activities were you involved in? Track and Dance
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? Everyone called me the Dancer since I won the Whitesburg Junior High Talent Show and had articles in the paper about my scholarships to New York and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. I also lifted weights with the football players and lifted girls in Dance.

 


Lisa Bollinger

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Dansville Senior High School in New York; 1994
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.” – David Letterman
  3. What activities were you involved in? Cheerleading, Volleyball, Color Guard, Band (Oboe), French Club, FBLA, Student Government, Math Team, Yearbook Staff
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? I had friends in all the groups. If you were to ask somebody from my class, they would probably classify me as one of the Smart Kids.

 


Kaitlyn Vanderwill

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? WHCS in Huntsville; 2008
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” – Dolly Parton
  3. What activities were you involved in? Cheerleading, Ballroom Dancing, Art
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? Definitely the introverted outcasts. I was VERY emo.

 


Kip Driver

  1. Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate? Grissom High School; 1987
  2. What was your senior quote in your yearbook? “This isn’t real. It’s St. Elmo’s Fire. We’re all going through this. It’s our time at the edge.” Yup I’m definitely dating myself with this quote: Rob Lowe from the 1980’s movie St Elmo’s Fire!
  3. What activities were you involved in? Drama Club, French Club, Honor Society, International Thespian Society, Symphonic, Jazz & Marching Band (Tenor Sax)
  4. Would you categorize yourself as being in a certain group in high school? I was probably equal parts theatre/band nerd and cool kid/floater.
